"Strange Brew" was one of the big ones. The fact that the movie's
finale
featured a beer-guzzling flying dog painted like a skunk really did
something for me. In high school I discovered "USA Up All Night" and
fell in
love with all the classic Fred Olen Ray and David DeCauteau movies
("Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers", "Sorority Babes in the Slimebowl
Bowl-o-rama", etc.) In college it was the Italian horror movies (The
Beyond,
Susperia, etc.). Also around that time I discovered and became a big
fan of,
"Fear of A Black Hat". Ever since then I've alway been interested in
material that was always weird and/or different. Micro-cinema heroes
like,
J.R. Bookwalter, Robert Rodriguez and Kevin Smith have also been a big
influence.

Edward Lee is a madman. His books are a highly addictive read. "City
Infernal" is fantastic. A must read for horror fans. "The Girl Next
Door"
and "The Lost" disturbed the hell out of me. Jack Ketchum's books are
so
effective because they're about what's really scary: the human monster.
Joe
Landale ranks very high with me. "The Drive-In" is one of my all time
favorite books. Reading Lansdale is a real treat for the cult movie
enthusiast.

As for music: Alice Cooper, eighties metal and cheesy-ass rock ballads
(Cinderella's, "Coming Home" is the best). Oldies, (especially
doo-wop),
outlaw country (especially the hard-boozing songs of David Alan Coe and
Merl
Haggard), AC-DC and Manowar. Old school NWA and midget rapper, Bushwick
Bill. My favorite CD is Guns and Roses', "Appetite For Destruction". It
just
plain kicks ass on all levels.

I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT I AM JUST GETTING STARTED NOW. ALTHOUGH, "CEREBRAL PRINT: THE SECRET FILES" WAS BIG FOR ME, ALL THE OTHER STUFF WAS JUST A PRECURSOR TO THE GENRE STUFF I WANT TO DO FOR AS LONG AS I CAN. IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT A "JOURNEY" BEING KICKED OFF...I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT IT IS THE CURSE OF LIZZIE BORDEN. I AM REALLY LOVING DIRECTING IT AND ALL THE ACTORS ARE SO WONDERFUL THAT I DON'T MIND THE 20 HOUR DAYS AT ALL. LIZZIE BORDEN IS THE BEGINNING OF MY JOURNEY. EVEN LAST WEEKEND WHEN I SHOT 28 PAGES IN ONE DAY. BIZARRE. ON THE WEB SERIES I AM DIRECTING NOW CALLED "THE WRIGHT STUFF" WE ARE SHOOTING A HALF A PAGE A DAY.

I LOVE CARS AND TRAVELLING. I TAKE TRIPS BACK TO A PLACE I HAVE IN SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO. IT IS A 100 ACRE RANCH WITH NO RUNNING WATER OR ELECTRICITY. MY UNCLE AND I HANG OUT THERE AND COME UP WITH INTERESTING STORY IDEAS WE CAN GET TOGETHER AND SHOOT. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING BACK THERE AFTER THE NEW YEAR.

YOU HAVE HIT ON A REAL BUTTON HERE....DO YOU REALLY WANT ME TO GO INTO IT? IF SO, READ ON...THE WAR IS NOT THE FAULT OF THE PRESIDENT, IT IS THE FAULT OF THE PRESIDENT, THE CONGRESS, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, AND THE REST OF THE WORLD THAT DIDN'T STAND UP AND SAY, "ENOUGH!". I guess "Sleepaway Camp", right?? That seems to be the one horror fans remember. It's the oldest film but an ending that seems to be pretty original.
2) I think you might be the last of Original Scream Queens, So Do you have time to read a BOOK ? Or listen to a CD, on set ?

Yes, I ususally have a lot of time and I'm always listening to CKY. Great band, so go check out their new album, "An Answer Can Be Found."
